Getting Sooooo BIG!!!

It amazes me how she changes and what she can do from one day to the next. She rolls herself all around and reaches for her toys. She is pushing a little bit with her toe so she might just figure out how to crawl. She is practicing sitting by herself for 5 to 10 seconds at a time. The Dr. told us she could have a sippy cup. She immediately put it in her mouth (to chew) then had a funny face as she couldn't determine what was inside. Today she tried some Gerber puffs, like cheerios but they dissolve faster... she really thought this was neat especially when Cash came and licked them up!!! She is so very social and just wants to talk ALL the time. She typically wakes up talking and has a hard time going down b/c she is talking. I will have her wrapped up snug and rocking her while she coo's until her eyes close. She loves reading books and going for walks in the babybjorn (so she can see everything-- blowing trees are her favorite). She went in this week for a Dr. weigh in visit (since she is tiny). She is back on the weight chart which pleased the doctor.. weighing in at 14.5lbs. She is still small but back on the weight scale so that is good news!!! She is a joy and I am so glad I get to hear her giggles, see her smiles and get slobbery kisses from her every day!!! Life is Good!!!!

Summer Fun!!

It seems like summer is flying by too quickly. We are enjoying our heat and laugh when its 101 and we think its a beautiful night!! Trinity is enjoying peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, pears and peaches. She also likes rice cereal but prefers her oatmeal. So far these are the foods she likes... some more than others but she hasn't outright refused any.

We put a little snapset pool up in the back yard and Trinity loves it!! I think she just might take after her mama with the love of water!!! We sat in the pool and she kicked and kicked more. For an hour straight she was kicking and kicking. When we came inside I took her for a bath to wash the sunscreen off. She got in the bath and half the water ended up on Jason and I and the floor. She was kicking like she was in the pool, with a smile on her face and focused on the water splashing up.

Trinity started saying mamamamamama mamamamama. We didn't know if it counted but then I picked her up out of her crib and I got big smile and slobbery kiss and heard mmmmmmama!! Such pretty little words from the sweetest voice. Needless to say I counted it as her first word!

Little pieces of her personality start to show through different activities. We decided she has a little goofy side to her. Her daddy and mommy are both total goofs so its probably shared. She will grab the blanket I am reaching for and roll up in it all while looking at me with a funny smile and laughing. On the changing table she grabs the curtains and I think is playing her own version of peeka boo all with smiles and giggles. She thinks she is sooooooo funny. As her Daddy says "your mama laughs all the time."

This past week Jason had a half day at work and surprised us by coming home early. This let me go out and I decided out with the old.... I got most of my hair chopped off!! Its great in this heat but I have to figure out how to pin some back for workouts!! All in all we are doing great and having a fun summer!! No big plans coming up so we shall see what we can figure out!!

Happy 4th of July

We are all getting back to normal now that Jason is home from Germany. He had a good time working in Munich and Hamburg. He wasn't gone for too long so that is nice. We enjoyed the long weekend together hanging out. Trinity is eating yams this week and enjoying them. I still think we get more on her face then in her mouth. She has two teeth popping through on the bottom so that has made for some interesting moments. Usually just a little cranky and some tylenol for the pain and she is back to normal. We were very low key for our 4th of July. We made some yummy burgers, corn and grilled peaches. That was a great afternoon. In the morning we went to the dog park and Cash was acting more like a cow grazing on the grass rather then chasing the ball. Our city was putting on a concert/vendors/play time stuff and fireworks so we decided we would go walk around. On our way there it was lightning, dark and windy. Our Monsoon season decided to hit right then. Thankfully it cooled a lot of things down but we decided we would take our yogurt and go home. This was good b/c Trinity is already sound asleep and the fireworks aren't due to go off for another 30 minutes.

Today we did lots of normal stuff that we do everyday b/c of the freedom that we have in this great country. We are very greatful for the men and women serving both past and present and they are in our continued prayers. THANK YOU!!!!!!
