Airplanes and Family

Trinity went on her very first airplane ride to Michigan to see Tabitha graduate. We are so proud of her. Trinity was a wonderful airplane baby. She charmed everyone with her smiles before we boarded then slept during most of the flight. Trinity met the remaining aunts, uncles and all of her cousins. She had a special time with her Great Grandparents. Great Grandma Van Goor just smiled and loved on Trinity. Grammy and PaPa couldn't get enough of her smiles and giggles. She was able to see her grandparents and meet some of our friends. We all had a wonderful time with everyone. We took lots of pictures so enjoy the photo book.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Today is a wonderful day in which we honor our mothers. As a new mom I realize all the hard work that goes with the title. One of the best things I learned from my mother is to laugh and find joy in yourself and your kids. All the stresses in life seem to disappear when I see that little face.

In honor of mothers day I thought I would write a short list of reflections over the past few months of being a mother. Yes, it is okay to laugh b/c during the last few months we needed to laugh a lot!!!

1. I never knew I would sing a song about my baby's bodily functions as I take her to the changing table.

2. I found that those adorable little fingers have razor sharp nails that I can only cut while she is sleeping.

3. A smile at 5am seems to make it okay that I am up at 5am....

4. I never thought I would be excited to find a deal on laundry detergent only to find out later that I have 187 loads of fabric softener.

5. I find it interesting that I get everyone ready to go and packed in the car and realize I am still in my pajamas.

6. I have discovered that if I use the word "PLAN" out loud in front of Trinity.. somehow it will NOT happen.

7. I sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider over and over and over again just because she giggles

8. My arm is now able to stretch into the backseat and hold a rattle for miles and miles

9. I am so excited to take a bath because she is napping and the following occurs??

a. Turn water on and forget

b. Turn just the hot water on which results in high pitched screaming and red feet

c. Actually leave my socks on and get into the tub

d. YES.. all the above... it is true... the baby has taken my brain

10. The greatest moment of my day is when she snuggles her head under my neck and falls asleep.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!

He Is Risen

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We are blessed and know that Jesus rose from the dead and we celebrate our life in HIM!!

Trinity is now rolling over. She gets a little nervous after she rolls over and wants to go back. We woke up this morning and took our time getting ready. We went to a later church service and then ate at the Cracker Barrel for lunch. Trinity enjoyed her Easter basket goodies. It was filled with a snoopy beanie baby that plays music, a couple of outfits that both Jason and I put in and 2 books. One book of puppies and one that has all the verses of Jesus Loves Me. Trinity is enjoying her stroller rides out and about. Jason and I took her for a run the other day. It was nice for all of us to go jogging together and we are hoping for more of that!!!

My Uncles and Aunt came to town

This week was a lot of fun as Jason's brothers and our sister in law came to town. Mark, T.D. and Thea got to hold and love on their niece. Trinity loved all the attention from everyone and gave out lots of smiles. She came close to rolling over several times (her elbow gets in her way). We went out more this week then we ever have (with Trinity and she did great). We went to the desert museum and she lasted longer then the first time. She started in the stroller and ended in the baby bjorn. She went for 2 hours at the park which is great!! We all went out to dinner and we didn't have to rush to eat our mexican food!! She also made it through a chinese lunch!!!

Most of all she just loved being held and getting lots of love from family. She liked listening to Uncle Mark and Uncle T.D. play the guitar while she played on the floor. We had lots of fun this week!!!

Talking Trinity

We had more company this past week and had a great time. Grandpa and Beppa came to visit and enjoyed lots of smiles, giggles and cuddles from Trinity. She is now waking up in her crib and just "talking" away before we go in to pick her up. She can be quiet for a while and then out of no where she has the urge to tell you all about her day and goes on and on and on. We are really having fun with her. This weekend Jason has his relay race that he has been training for. He is excited and hoping to beat his time from last year. A week from Monday we are looking forward to more company. Uncle Mark, Aunt Thea and Uncle T.D. are coming to hang out and meet their new niece.
