Pumpkin Patch Family :)

Trinity had a blast!! All smiles!!

October is almost done and we managed to have a lot of fun despite a few colds going through the family. Erin came to visit and that was a blast. She was a big help and even watched both kids to give Jason and I a date night (belated anniversary dinner out). That was a wonderful gift!!! We had fun talking and catching up and of course playing with Trinity and holding Sawyer. We miss her already!! This weekend we felt like everyone's colds had lifted enough to go enjoy the pumpkin patch down the road (seriously like 2 miles away). Trinity LOVED the petting zoo... she saw goats, ponies, cows, ducks and pigs!!! Jason and Trinity went jumping on the huge jumping pillow before our tractor ride to pick a pumpkin. We ended with a picnic lunch and then came home for some much needed NAPS. We are looking forward to the cooler weather and more park days and playtime outside!!!

Arizona Fun

Our little golfer... (I'm sure he is thinking.. thanks mom for dressing me like this..haha)

Trinity observes play time and shows him all the fun animals

She also likes to climb right in with Sawyer and give him her signature "look"

Trinity points to all body parts.. we just have to watch the "eyes"

hanging with daddy in the desert back yard

whats this??? our piece of grass on the patio

Since God gave us dirt and not grass ... LOVES playing in the dirt

Mom... look at me .. I'm throwing dirt on myself

She is seriously making face down "dirt angels".. hilarious

Chill time with Daddy

wanted to hold him but then he cries...

Nap time/cuddle time with mommy

We are settling into a routine with Jason now at work. Trinity had a few adjusting days but now she is "mommy's helper." Having two is a challenge still and very busy but it gets easier and easier every day. We are enjoying the slight cool down (below 100) in temperature so we can go outside and to the park. Sawyer is doing great!!! He is growing and still a delight as a baby. Love his easy going personality. He is sleeping well and for the most part so are we! We celebrated Jason's birthday with his birthday meal and double chocolate cupcakes! Trinity LOVED the cupcakes of course.. haha. We are looking forward to some Fall activities and company!!!

He arrived!! Sept 12, 2012

Sawyer Jaxen 9/12/12 8lbs 12oz 21inches

Sleepy baby

Yeah he gets to come home!! Only 6 nights in the NICU

The look on Trinity's face. YES that's a frown!! (thinking, who is that and why is he in my car)
Checking out the new little brother

We are so happy to have him home.

Trinity got a big sister kitchen!!!

Her "job" is to turn on his music!!
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
                                                                     Psalm 139:13-14

Sawyer Jaxen decided September 12, 2012  was a good birthday. He weighed 8lbs 12 oz and was 21 inches. The evening after he was born he became hypoglycemic and they decided he would be best in the NICU. We were blessed with an amazing staff of NICU nurses and doctors that took care of him. He spent 6 nights in the NICU and came home on September 18 a very healthy baby boy.

Trinity spent the first week ignoring her little brothers existence. I imagine it won't be the last time she ignores him. She finally gave in and figured out he is here to stay and she might as well love him. She holds him and gives him kisses now. She loves helping with diaper changes and anything we ask. She is enjoying being a big sister (I think).

We are just so happy to have him home we really haven't gone anywhere since he came home. We have been showered with meals from my church bible study so we have just been able to enjoy our family. We are so grateful for good friends that helped us through the NICU time and since we have been home. We really feel blessed and loved.

Sawyer is very laid back so far and really doesn't fuss much at all. This is great because Trinity keeps us on our toes. I think he just goes along for the ride. As long as he is clean and fed he is happy.
We will try to update the blog each month and inform all family and friends of our crazy fun times as a family of 4 or 5.. we count the dog!!!

We got the range baskets

Trinity loves the grass rug and lays on it at least once a day.
I am surprised she hasn't fallen asleep on it (soooo soft).

Our August is going along.. for me it seems to be taking forever!!! Trinity is growing like crazy and is ALL over the place. She climbs on everything and then just sits and waits for you to find her (she is so proud) only to be told to please get down because she is up to high. She has an infinite vocabulary ... she has started to say every word we ask her to say and lots of word associations. I love finding her reading by herself or with Cash. She reads out loud and is very animated. I have learned that cleaning with her is an adventure. I put things away and she takes them back out as if she discovered the newest play toy. Currently she is running with the colander from the kitchen and throwing it on the tile floor b/c it makes such a pretty sound. I usually find a stash of Tupperware in Sawyers room at some point during the day ( I think she is adding her decorating touches).  The nursery is complete.. just need some pictures of our little man to go in the frames :) ... We are about 35 weeks along and start our once a week appointments on Monday. No indication so far when he will join the party... we are anxiously awaiting our little mans arrival.  We have decided to become "super cool" and get rid of our BMW for a rear air conditioned mini van. We like to say its because of the kids (it doesn't sound great to say we want one). It is a great excuse to have a vehicle that will provide enough room to fit huge amounts of plywood and material from Lowe's ... and make frequent trips to pick up furniture for me to paint. So I suppose it is for the kids not our hobbies. It also means we can have company.... HAHA.. who knew toddler seats and infant car seats could really take up the entire backseat (no middle seat.. in vanished to about 4 inches between seats.
Keep us in your prayers this month. That Sawyer continues to grow and for our health. That we prepare Trinity as best we can for this new addition to our family. Also, that Jason can balance.. work..masters.. Trinity and a new baby!!!
Our next blog will be introducing Sawyer Jaxen!!!
